![]() April 20, 2008 VAS Entertainment, San Luis Obispo, California, has moved into the television market with their co-production of the second season of the popular G4 channel show, "The Block". The production marks VAS' first foray into "action-sports" themed reality television. The series was co-produced with the G4 Channel and the Monster Energy Drink. The popular show, set at the hotel of the same name in Big Bear, California, highlights the lifestyles of snowboarders and privileged hotel employees as they turn the little town upside down, and follows hotel co-owner Liko Smith and pro snowboarder and icon, Marc Frank Montoya, as they try to keep a lid on the partying, drama, and chaos. Their critically acclaimed surfing documentary, "Bra Boys" (VAS, Berkela Films, Analog), narrated by Russell Crowe, is currently enjoying an American theatrical run after becoming Australian cinemas most successful most successful non-Imax documentary film.
